When I bought a bag of butternut squash pasta from Trader Joe's this week - I left it on our kitchen counter so I wouldn't forget to use it for dinner. When I went to open it after a few days a huge light bulb went off that these tiny pastas would make adorable jack-o-lanterns!!

Not only are these pastas cute and yummy - but they're great for crafting too!

In order to make a handle for your jack-o-lantern, snip a piece of orange pipe cleaner and bend it to fit inside like a little handle. If you want it thinner, just trim the fuzzy part off with some sewing scissors. It will stick inside without glue.

Add a cute face with a thin tipped permanent marker...

Display your adorable new pumpkins in a dollhouse, shadowbox, or even on the dining room table. Just make sure there are no cats or youngsters around that might be hurt by the pipe cleaner handles ;)

How are you getting ready for Halloween?
